Butler House Works

A few months ago James and Kelley Anne came home from a vacation weekend to a flooded home. The water line to the refrigerator broke, flooding that level and the one below. Many wonderful friends have offered to help with the rebuilding construction, and now a schedule for the work parties has been set. These events and dates are not set in stone, and may be adjusted to work around volunteer’s schedules. Please select the link above to view the schedule and directions. All helping hands are welcome and greatly appreciated.

Hi Kelley Anne,
I heard about your unfortunate accident last month and have been following your progress via this site, I extend my prayers to you, having been in a similar situation when I was Seventeen I understand some of what have been going through, even though every car accident differs. From what I understand of your character, you are sure to make a good recovery, you have many people who care about a you and are praying for you to be well. As a Blue Devil Alumni member I am glad to be part of your ever growing extending family, we have never met but I can honestly say that I feel like I am getting to know you, you have a wonderful family that is with you every inch of the way. And Steven, I think that you have been a pillar of strength for Kelley Anne and an inspiration to us all, you have been a Rock and I'm sure that Kelley Anne knows how valuable you are too. I wish you well and hope that you road to recovery is a short one.

Oct 16, 2005 At approx. 6pm today, James and I finished cutting the Bar from 8+ feet to just over 6 feet, and moved it from the family room where it has been since January, back into the newly completed Bar and Rec room. This was the last major project. James still has a few minor finish jobs pertaining to footboards around the new hardwood floors, some window trim, the flue completion on the new Range Hood thru the attic, and minor paint. The house is beautiful on all 4 floor levels, and James and Kelley Anne have submitted final photos and receipted paperwork to the Insurance Co. It truly is a monument to the efforts of so many talented friends who volunteered weekends, weekdays, and holidays to bring this project through to fruition. Everyone should make a point to drop by and see their handiwork. James even brought the hardwood floors in with less than 1% waste. He has 160 sq. ft. left over. Amazing. And THAT is the only surplus material. Outstanding.

Nov. 26. 05 The new kitchen was christened tonight with a delicious dinner prepared by Kelley Anne, James, Diana, Constance, Steven and Katey to celebrate Mom Corkran's 71st birthday. Constance, Curtis and family were in from Vancouver, Steven, Diana and family, Carolyn, and Dad C. rounded out the dinner of Tri-Tip, soft fries, salad, pie, and drinks. Katey and Ashley made Grandma's chocolate cake in San Jose. James and Steven prepared the steak on the grill. Diana handmade the Fries. The Refrigerator is back in it's cove in the bar, and the new toilet for the bar has arrived. The downstairs is beautiful.
